Here we go for our second Freaky Friday. Things are sorting out and hopefully settling down. More interesting tidbits and fascinating things in the leadup to the iPhone Duo launch, plus possibly an Apple announcement of some kind next week!
Return to Sender
If you use a Mac with a work or school email account hosted on Microsoftā€™s Exchange Online, Mail may be having a rough week. Microsoft started shutting off Exchange Web Services in October, which is the older connection method Appleā€™s Mac apps rely on, and AppleInsider reports that this can disrupt Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Notes, and Reminders. One university IT departmentā€™s advice was to just switch to Outlook. iPhones and iPads are fine, since they use Exchange ActiveSync, which isnā€™t affected.
The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, as well as the new Mac mini and Mac Studio, are now available. I had two 600 mile round trip same-day drives to UCLA for doctor appointments this week, so my apologies for the email delay. There will not be a Magic Monday next week, but I hope this will be an interesting, enlightening, and weird first edition of Freaky Friday.
