The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, as well as the new Mac mini and Mac Studio, are now available. I had two 600 mile round trip same-day drives to UCLA for doctor appointments this week, so my apologies for the email delay. There will not be a Magic Monday next week, but I hope this will be an interesting, enlightening, and weird first edition of Freaky Friday.
There's an App for That
Every so often, certainly more often than I'd like, the App Store serves up a gift of a listing. This week's entry is called Update My Phone & Apps: Guide, and the free version does exactly one thing: a button that opens the Settings app. Not even the Software Update screen inside Settings, mind you, just the root menu, the same screen you'd land on by tapping the gray gear icon yourself.
